Upload your plans- What files can I upload?
- BuildAHouse accepts PDF plan sets and common plan-image formats. A complete set is more useful than isolated floor plans because construction scope often depends on structural, roof, schedule, MEP, and detail sheets.
- Does BuildAHouse replace a contractor, estimator, or engineer?
- No. It is an early planning and coordination tool. Final quantities, code compliance, engineering, procurement, and pricing must be verified by the appropriate professionals.
- Can BuildAHouse identify plan conflicts?
- Yes. The workflow includes document-control and revision-conflict checks. When controlling values conflict, the report can flag the issue and block pricing rather than silently choosing a value.
- Will it give a quantity even if the plan is incomplete?
- No. Where geometry, assemblies, engineering, or other required evidence is missing, BuildAHouse is designed to return TBD or identify the missing input instead of inventing precision.
- What does the $49 report include?
- A plan-based construction scope and material takeoff report with confidence and missing-information controls, plus PDF and JSON exports. The report is for budgeting and coordination, not final construction authorization.
